- 500 g minced pork
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) sweet and sour sauce, plus extra for serving
- 2 frozen puff pastry sheets, just thawed
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Preheat the oven to 200C/180C convection and lightly oil 2 baking sheets. Place the pork mince in a large mixing bowl and add the sweet and sour sauce. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Using your hands, mix until combined. Divide into 18 equal portions (slightly heaped tablespoons) and roll into balls.
- Cut each sheet of pastry into 9 squares. Roll the mince balls into sausage shapes, slightly longer than the width of the squares. Place the mince crosswise along the edge closest to you and brush the far edge with a little beaten egg. Roll up to enclose (the ground meat will stick out a bit from the ends).Place sausage rolls, seam side down, on prepared trays, leaving space around them to brown evenly. Brush the dough with egg and use a sharp knife to score lines on the top of the dough.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly, then serve with additional sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
